Pathetic as it is, I can't tell you how excited I was when I checked our veggie patch yesterday and saw a short, fat cucumber hiding underneath the leaves. I actually squealed. Luckily, I wasn't disappointed-it tastes delicious. When you try a cucumber like this,then compare it to a supermarket one, you realise what a cucumber should taste like, rather than just water.
mm, I used to have a veggie patch when I lived with my parents, I can't wait till I get my own house with a garden so I can start my own veggie patch.
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing like it! It is a slow process though, so we've had to be extremely patient.I think we were waiting 3 months for these cucumbers!
